Whether you are a diving novice or seasoned professional, you will find the diving clubs throughout Tahiti to be fully qualified and internationally recognized, able to guide you in total safety through a variety of superb underwater locations throughout French Polynesia.

Visitors will enjoy warm waters, great visibility, low current, together with the high quality guiding service, offer easy and comfortable diving conditions through Tahiti for an amazing Tahiti dive experience.
Divers may choose among 3 different areas of exploration:
- the lagoon which offer clear, warm waters & a shallow environment with high concentrations of colorful fish, shells & corals…
- the oceanic drop off, made of large & bright coral compositions facing deep blue waters… where large predators & schools of fish can be observed….
- the passes, where large varieties of big animals play in a very dynamic environment.
Divers can also choose a diving cruise such as the Aquatiki Diving Cruise offering itineraries around Fakarava or Tahiti Yacht Charter offering itineraries around Rangiroa.
- the guide (according to French regulations, all dives are Dive Master led & secured),
- the boat transfer to the dive site
- equipment (tank, weight, weight belt, BCD, regulators with gauges, mask, snorkel, fins). Dive computers are usually available to rent.
Regarding the suits, light wetsuits or skin suits are sufficient for thermo protection, they may be provided by the dive operators upon request.
The following options are available:
Island / Dive Resort
- Initiation dive: for curious beginners.
- Single Tank dive: for occasional certified divers.
- Two Tank dive: 2 successive morning or afternoon dives, for prepared, active divers.
- Dive Pass: 5 or 10 dive personal card for active, island hopping divers.
Live aboard
- Sailing cruise: for curious travelers willing to approach the islands & passes differently (2 dives a day, land explorations).
Divers must bring their diving logbook & diving card (or a copy of their qualification: CMAS Level I or PADI Open Water Diver at least) to enjoy an exploration dive. In all other cases, an initiation dive (within 5 m below the surface) shall be suggested.
Beginners are not required to bring any documentation; however a valid medical certificate is always helpful.
Bora Bora

Moorea
Tahiti’s sister island is particularly renowned for its clear warm waters, rich, abundant tropical marine life, including turtles, eagle rays and an impressive concentration of sharks species. Moorea attracts about 25,000 divers each year due to the effortless diving conditions with little or no currents, incredible visibility, and exhilarating encounters with seas turtles, eagle rays and an impressive concentration of sharks species (lemon, blacktip, silvertip, gray sharks). The waters of Moorea attract humpback whales and their young calves between the months of July – November each year.
Best Dive Spots Include: Tiki, the Coral Wall, Opunohu’s Canyons, the Roses Garden.

Rangiroa
Life is simple and tranquil on Rangiroa. The atoll is the second largest in the South pacific with 120 miles of white sand beaches encircling a 400-square-mile lagoon that offers unique drift diving. Rangiroa & its famous large a passes of Avatoru & Tiputa offers exceptional drift diving with amazing successive big encounters such as manta & eagle rays, hammerhead sharks, reef sharks, turtles & dolphins, jackfish & various ocean fish schools.

Huahine
Scuba diving around the island is open to travelers from all levels. The waters are full of life with many small fish, damselfish, butterfly fish, but also napoleons (lump head wrasses), manta rays, reef sharks, tunas, large schools of jacks, snappers or barracudas… The dives in the passes are relatively easy because the current is not very strong.
