Hiking at Mount Aorai – First Refuge (Moderate Level/Full Day – lunch not included)
Enjoy some breathtaking views of Tahiti, the ocean and surrounding valleys. The Aorai is Tahiti’s third highest mountain and peaks at about 6,800 feet. You will hike up to the first mountain hut at an altitude of 4,500 feet. You need to be fit and healthy for this invigorating hike. Available daily.
Hiking in the Lava Tubes (Athletic Level/Full Day)
This moderately difficult Canyoning hike visits the lava channels that were formed during the volcanic period when the island was born. You will explore the rocks and vaults that Mother Nature herself has carved out. When you come out of the lava tubes, follow the river bubbling with waterfalls and have a swim in the cool water. Lunch and equipment included (headlight, gloves and coverall). Available daily.
Tahiti Island Tour (Half Day / Afternoon)
Take a tour on a trip around the island and discover some of the Treasures of Tahiti. Tahiti’s glittering gems are a sight for sore eyes: The famous Pointe Venus (Cook’s Transit of Venus), the Tropical Garden of Vaipahi and its wonderful waterfall. Wrap up your island visit with a stop at the Mara’a Grotto’s and the famous ancient Marae Arahurahu. Available daily except June 29, July 14, and August 15.
City Tour of Papeete (Half Day / Morning Tour)
The tour begins with a visit on foot in our traditional market where the Tahitians sell fish, fruits, and crafts of all types. Then you will head to the Cathedral of Papeete and the Vaima Center to enjoy its numerous shops. Finally, hop on a vehicle for a discovery tour of the Polynesian Institutions, concluding with a visit to the Pearl Museum. Available daily except Sundays and public holidays.
Papeete City Tour by Segway
A unique and fun way to discover downtown Papeete by Segway with an expert guide of Tahitian History. Participants must be at least 14 years and accompanied by an adult (at least 16 years) to take part in the tour. Minimum weight 99lbs/Maximum weight 260lbs. Offered as a 1 1/2 hour or 2 1/2 hour tour. Available every day.
City Tour of Papeete and Circle Island Tour of Tahiti – Full Day
Have a day out exploring the capital city in the morning and spending the afternoon in Tahiti. The tour is a combination of the City Tour of Papeete and the Tahiti Island Tour. A lunch break will be offered and while lunch is not included in the tour, your guide will recommend an excellent local restaurant. Available daily except Sundays.
Mountain 4X4 Jeep Safari
Take a 4×4 to the very heart of the island of Tahiti. Admire the valley of Papenoo which is famous for its rivers and enjoy the incredible waterfall and tropical plant views. This is a relaxing place where you can really get back to nature. Your guide will be present throughout the journey to answer any questions about local flora, fauna, and geology.
