Moorea Car Rentals

Get out on the road and create your own adventure!  Renting a car in Moorea is one of the best ways to get around the island. The roads are well paved for the most part, and there is not too much traffic. Roads can be very narrow at times so you should take it slowly especially in mountainous areas or when there are lots of curves. Driving is on the right side of the road making it easy for North Americans.

Car Rental Rates

The car rental rates below include the following:

• Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with deductible,
• Cars equipped with air conditioning, radio, and CD Player (Roadsters not equipped with these features), and
• Digi-Guide which includes information about more than 40 tourist attractions as well as a selection of parks, beaches, and restaurants.

NOTE:  Rates DO NOT include gas, tire repairs, police fines or penalties, accessories damaged or stolen, or broken window repairs. Rates are charged per 24 hours, beyond this time extra costs will apply and shall be paid directly onsite.

B Class: From $130/day

P Class: From $208/day

V Class: From $260/day

*A supplement of $210 will be charged for K, L, and V Class rentals fewer than 5 days.

Roadster Secma Rentals

Roadster Secma vehicles are also available for rental. Please note the following important information:

• Are Manual Transmission
• Do NOT include air conditioning, radio, or CD Player
• F500 and F440 drivers must be 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license
• F16 drivers must be 25 years old with a valid Drivers’ license, and two years minimum of driving experience
• Credit card guarantee is required

F500 Roadster Secma: From $170/4 hours, $220/8 hours, $280/24 hours
F440 Roadster Secma: From $170/4 hours, $220/8 hours, $280/24 hours
F16 Roadster Secma: From $320/4 hours, $395/8 hours

Car Rental Pickup and Dropoff Locations

Car delivery is not offered; however, complimentary pickup service is provided and you will be picked up at your hotel, the airport or ferry pier and then driven to the rental office. Complimentary transfers will be provided back to your location when you return the car. All pick-up and drop-off transfers may be scheduled during the following hours:

• Temae Airport: 7:00am – 5:00pm
• InterContinental, Sofitel, Manava Beach Resort: 8:00am – 4:00pm
• Hilton: 9:00am-4:30pm

Note: A supplemental fee will be applied if you return your car to a location other than where it was picked up

Car Rental Terms and Conditions

• A collision damage bond will be held by credit card imprint.
• International and all valid overseas licenses are accepted.
• Drivers must be at least 25 years old (unless otherwise specified) and have at least one year of driving experience.
  • Drivers as young as 21 years old may be accepted with Young Driver Coverage (approximately $25-$30 per day) to be added and paid for at the rental office.
• All rental agreements are for one driver
  • A second driver may be added with a 2^nd Driver Supplement of approximately $25-$30 per day
  • A maximum of up to two drivers may be declared per contract (with 2^nd Driver Supplement).
• Drivers over 70 years old may be asked to provide a copy of their return international flight ticket.
• The amount of fuel in the vehicle will be indicated at pickup and noted on the contract. You will be responsible for returning the vehicle with the same amount of fuel.
• Cancellations received less than 3 days prior to first day of rental are subject to a minimum of 1 day cancellation fee.
