Guided Hiking and Canyoning Tours

Hiking in Moorea is a delightful exploration of deep forests, pineapple fields, breathtaking views of the lagoons of Tahiti island. Discover all the richness and magnificent landscapes of Moorea by foot! Several trails with different activity levels are available—from a simple walk to rugged canyoning.

Hiking the 3-Coconut Trail: Moderate Level (Half Day)

Departure from the Belvedere, forest, Polynesian plants and their uses, crater, and stunning views of the two sides of the island. Available every day except December 25 and January 1.

Hiking the Large Loop of Opunohu: Athletic Level (Full Day)

Beginning at the volcano entrance, you’ll trek through pineapple crops, the Three Pines Pass with its magnificent view of the caldera, forest of Mape, Marae, and the legendary Belvedere, and path of the 3 Coconut Trees Pass with its stunning views of the island. Lunch is not included. Available every day except December 25 and January 1.

Hiking the Pierced Mountain: High Intensity Level (Full Day)

Reserved for athletic trekkers in excellent physical condition, and who also do not suffer from vertigo or fear of heights. Still with us? On this hike, you’ll go deep into a forest of Mape and walk along the river to the coconut site from where you can see the Afareaitu pass and the southwest portion of Tahiti. You’ll walk along the varied peaks of Moorea and its tree ferns and be rewarded at the top with a 360-degree view of Moorea and Tahiti. Lunch is not included. Available every day except December 25 and January 1.

Canyoning: Athletic Level (Full Day)

After a 30-minute upwards hike, you’ll enjoy several downward slopes as well as two slides that land in fresh water. Designed for adventurers, canyoning is a fun way to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Moorea! Lunch is not included. Available every day except December 25 and January 1.

Hiking Afareaitu’s Waterfalls: Moderate Level (Half Day)

Welcome to the Garden of Eden! This half day hiking tour takes you into the magnificent Valley of Afareaitu, lush vegetation, forest ferns, fruit and tropical flowers in abundance, archaeological sites, waterfalls, rivers lined with flowers, and natural pools where you can swim. Many stops on the way to discover the plants and their daily use by the Polynesians. Your guide will tell you the legends surrounding the valley. Braiding sessions with coconut leaves, swimming, and tasting fresh fruits round off this pleasant half day tour. Available everyday but Sunday.
